SONG: LIKED THE FEEL

“Today, we have more than 230 families living in the community, a high school, pathways, a playground and natural spaces throughout.”

Natasha Rogers and Todd Hnatiuk are a 20-something couple who purchased their first home — one by Innovations by Jayman — in the third phase of Riversong about 16 months ago.

But they didn’t make their decision until they’d shopped the marketplace with a checklist of what they were looking for in both home and location...

All development is currently taking place on the escarpment, but he is hopeful that next year, work will begin on 350 lots in the Bow River valley. All lots will either back onto the river or onto natural areas. “We are very excited about our future plans for the community, especially our lands adjacent to the Bow River,” says Westman. “Just imagine a nice morning stroll along the river and then walking directly to downtown Cochrane across the Bow on the only pedestrian bridge in Cochrane.”

Perhaps it’s Cochrane’s small-town sensibilities or the cohesive sense of community that prevails there. Maybe it’s the authentic and compelling character of Cochrane’s town centre, its many urban amenities or its proximity to the Rocky Mountains that feature so prominently in its viewscapes. Whatever it is, there’s something that draws people here.
