We all know the most precious moments in life are not always the easiest to find. Tucked away along the paths less traveled, amongst the rolling hills of Cochrane nestled next to the Bow River. Riversong embodies the rhythm and harmony of rediscovering these moments, moments so few they can only be described as precious.
The community has two playgrounds, one located in Riversong Phase 5 and one in Riviera located close to the Bow River. The Riviera playground is home to two attractive wind-powered turbines that generate electricity for the community.
This 9-12 high school is located right in the community of Riversong. Bow Valley High School creates a positive and diverse learning and working environment that encourages strong relationships and collaboration between students, staff, parents, and the community.
With more than 4 kilometres of walking and biking paths throughout Riversong, you will enjoy exploring the winding hills of the community.
Enjoy the landscaped pathway system around the natural vegetated pond that overlooks the Bow River. The pond is designed and engineered for the 1/100 year flood. Fortunately, with the engineering system, Riviera was untouched during the disastrous flooding in June 2013.
The bridge crosses the rapid flowing Bow River leading you to downtown Cochrane and the Spray Lakes Sawmill Family Sports Centre.
Lose yourself in the surrounding natural habitat of Riversong’s 100 acre natural reserve.
Live along the Bow River which begins in the Rocky Mountains and has a length of 587 km. Outside your door you are steps away from the Bow River's thriving brown and rainbow trout population.
Rivera is home to two wind-powered turbines, which create sustainable and renewable energy that provide power to the lights in and around the Riviera playground.
